About

Who made this, and why

A free checklist for people launching software, with the reasons attached and permission to skip. Read, tick, share and export it in full without an email. No account, no payment, no ads.

Who made it

A small team who launch software and got tired of the checklists that already existed. We are makers, not marketers, and this is the list we wanted the first few times we shipped something.

Why we built it

Most launch checklists tell you what to do and never why, so you cannot tell which items are actually for you. A browser extension maker reads App Store advice. A developer tool gets told to make a demo video. The list gets longer the more thorough it tries to be.

So every item here carries its reason, and many carry permission to skip. Pick your launch type and the list gets shorter. That is the whole idea.

The numbers

Four figures on the checklist come from 435 real submissions we made ourselves, counted in September 2026 and labelled with that date. No approval rate appears anywhere, because many of those submissions are still waiting and any rate we published would be misleading.

What this site does not have
  • No lists of platforms or directories. Where a list helps, the item links out to one.
  • No asset size specifications.
  • No blog, no newsletter and no email sign-up. Reading, ticking, sharing and exporting all work without an email address.
  • No accounts or login.
  • No ads, affiliate links or paid placements.
